About Us
I'm Dalton Blackmore, the owner and operator of Blackmore Custom Homes. I live in the Snoqualmie Valley with my wife and our two boys, and I've spent the past eight years building homes.
I started Blackmore Custom Homes because I wanted to build homes differently. I wanted to work directly with clients, be involved in the project from beginning to end, and create a building process that people could actually enjoy.
I also wanted to move beyond code-minimum construction. A home should be more than a collection of finishes; it should be comfortable, durable, healthy, and thoughtfully built from the ground up.
The best part of this work is still the same reason I got into it: working with people to turn an idea they've had for years into a home they get to live in every day.
Why work with us?
When you work with us you are getting the owner of the company on site ensuring the project is up to the standards of the company and client, the site is clean, and work is progressing as it should. You will not be handed from a salesperson to a project manager and finally to superintendent when construction, you get one contact from start to finish. Because we know the vision and end product, we can execute thoughtful details early in the project that set us up for success later on down the line.
It is not going to go perfect, but we are going to be there with you throughout the process.
What do we do different?
Building a home is a significant investment, and the process should be built on trust. At Blackmore Custom Homes, we believe that starts with transparency, accountability, and a genuine commitment to doing what's right for our clients.
Our fixed-fee pricing model is designed to align our interests with yours. We establish our fee upfront, communicate openly about project costs, and focus on making thoughtful decisions that serve the home and the people who live in it. We believe in overcommunicating, owning our mistakes, and making the building process as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
Our wellness philosophy
We also believe a home should do more than look beautiful. It should be a place where you feel comfortable, supported, and able to thrive.
That's why we take a thoughtful approach to wellness and healthy living in the home. We consider indoor air quality, moisture management, natural light, acoustics, thermal comfort, and material selection as part of the building process, not simply as upgrades to think about after the fact.
Our approach includes careful air and water management, low-emitting material selections, and consideration of balanced mechanical ventilation to bring fresh air into the home. We also look for opportunities to incorporate features that support the way you want to live, whether that's a sauna, a dedicated fitness space, a soaking tub, or a connection to the outdoors.
Every family and every home is different. We'll work with you to understand what matters most and help bring those ideas to life.
At Blackmore Custom Homes, we understand we're building more than a house. We're crafting a space for you and your family to live, grow, and thrive.
